Who does the CCPA apply to?
The CCPA applies to for-profit legal entities that do business in California and meet one of the following:
1. Have annual gross revenues in excess of $25,000,000
2. Annually buys or receives for business commercial purposes, sells or shares, the personal information of 50,000 or more Californian consumers, households or DEVICES.
3. Derives 50% or more of its annual revenues from selling the personal information of Californian consumers.
The CCPA can also apply to you if you are required to comply with it via a contract. For example, if you are a vendor to a larger organization that is required to comply with the CCPA, that organization may require you to comply with the law by contract.
